It's all about a boy named Sheldon whose imagination has a way of getting the better of him. Whether he's in a restaurant, the grocery store or the museum, Sheldon's got an imagination that just won't stop.
In honor of Sheldon, we decided to do a twist on the classic "ants on a log" snack for this Cooking Up a Story.
Sheldon's Red Ant Snack
Dried cherries or cranberries
Cream cheese
Apple, sliced into sticks
Spread each apple stick with cream cheese on one side. Dot with dried cherries or cranberries.

I remember those when I was young. Our version as a kid was different. One of my teachers used celery with peanut butter and raisins. It got me eating my celery and raisins!
I had those too but since X has a peanut allergy we had to do a re-design ;) And I really like the combination of apple and cream cheese with the tartness of cranberries - hmmmmm....maybe as a muffin? :)
Thank you so much for creating a recipe in honor of my new book. It is deliciously wonderful!!!
